Winter is a beautiful season! Ice and snow enchant the landscape into a winter wonderland. Attention! On the
roads, the situational winter tire requirement applies! In case of frost and ice, snow and slush, cars must have
winter tires. In other words: Summer tires are prohibited. Otherwise fines (60 or 80 euros, depending on the
obstruction of road traffic), a point in Flensburg and sensitive effects on collision and liability insurance result,
if an accident happens. (Source ADAC). Please also note that in Austria from November 1st to April 15th winter
tires are compulsory.

Sunday in September, and the weather did not really invite us to go to the mountains. Nevertheless, we decided to take a short hike in the area of Winklmoosalm (border Bavaria / Austria). We enjoyed the impressions, lush meadows, cows around us, it’s good to walk a few steps and breathe the wonderful air. In the “Berggasthaus Almstüberl” we enjoyed coffee and homemade cakes. We will be back soon!
